NextiraOne was a $2 billion global company no one had ever heard of – an 800-lb. gorilla sitting in the corner – but with a sheet over it. M/C/C was brought in to help whip that sheet off like a magician pulling the tablecloth out from under a couple of fine china place settings. In other words, get noticed, but don’t do something so dramatic that you break something and leave a negative impression.
M/C/C decided the best approach was to build awareness through public relations, but it wouldn’t be easy. Part of the reason nobody had heard of NextiraOne was because most of its customers (many of which were Fortune 50 companies) had strict non-disclosure agreements. M/C/C used the case studies from the customers who would release their names to garner some great industry trade coverage. Over time, awareness of NextiraOne grew, and the company finally began being recognized as the go-to provider of communications solutions for large enterprises.
