Shopocalypse –

The impending end of civilization as we know it – brought on by the general public’s inability to stop shopping. The term was coined by Reverend Billy, pastor of the Church of Stop Shopping.

 

Tom: Did you see all the sales down at the mall? I’ve gotta get down there and buy everything before it’s not on sale anymore!

 

Tim: The world is not going to end if you miss a sale. On the other hand, your inexplicable need to have so much stuff does beckon the shopocalypse.
