SensorLogic
Enlists M/C/C To Amplify the Sound of 6 Billion Screaming Machines |
DALLAS - Feb. 14, 2005 - After securing more than $10 million in first-round funding, machine-to-machine (M2M) communications company SensorLogic has enlisted technology public relations and advertising agency M/C/C to make sure people know what the world's 6 billion intelligent machines are screaming about. To turn up the volume, M/C/C will provide public relations services that will deliver the message of improved business processes. "With M2M communication, SensorLogic is sitting on an industry just waiting to explode," said SensorLogic Vice President of Sales and Marketing Wayne Stargardt. "Machines are 'talking' constantly, but really listening to them means more than just collecting the data they produce. What SensorLogic does is arm a business with the kind of intelligence that can change an industry, and it will be M/C/C that helps us deliver that message." SensorLogic offers companies the tools necessary to design, private-label and deploy M2M solutions that collect machine sensor data, logically update and streamline business processes and instruct other machines to respond and make changes automatically. In essence, the company is helping to create a network of machines - a "machine-net" - for a host of vertical markets beginning with manufacturing, energy management and asset monitoring. For instance, using technology from SensorLogic, a utility company can do more than monitor the location of its vehicles remotely. The M2M technology enables the company to set system parameters to notify fleet managers automatically so they can dispatch the nearest available vehicles and crews to repair a system that has broken down. Also, the same sensors that detect system failure can determine which parts have broken and will update the M2M system to order those parts automatically. These automated processes dramatically increase operations efficiencies. "With M/C/C helping SensorLogic to create awareness and credibility for its technology and vision, SensorLogic will be in an excellent position to dominate the M2M market," said M/C/C President and Founder Mike Crawford. "We're looking forward to building a long-lasting relationship with the company." About M/C/C About SensorLogic ### |
